Full Time Motorhome Travel - The End!

This is The End and 8th installment of our Full Time Motorhome Travel series. The Full Time travelogues summarize our 17 years of motorhome travel. If you missed any of our Octology you can launch the first at Full Time Motorhome Travel - Part I - The Back Story, read it and click on Next to read them all.

Why The End ?

Are we done traveling? No, but we have settled on one location for the Winter (October to March). That spot is Palm Creek Resort and Residences in Casa Grande, Arizona. We have a 3-year lease on RV Lot 1678.

The resort began as RV and Park Model lots. It was called Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort. We visited for one day in 2007 on the way to Florida and all the Eastern states. We realized what a fabulous place it was and returned in 2009 and stayed for two weeks.

All we did was play pickleball as by then we were addicted. Over the years we returned 20 times for a total of 337 overnights. We called it Palm Creek Pickleball and RV Resort. Today, besides RVs and park models, it has houses up to 1,400 sq. ft. They have changed the name to Palm Creek Resort and Residences. It still has golf and much more.

We love Palm Creek but it was always over our budget. However in May of 2022 they offered a 3-year lease at 50% of the normal rates and we locked it in. So until May 2025, this is our home.

Arizona can be very hot in the summer, rather unbearable in an RV with 1 1/2" walls. So as usual we will travel from Spring to Fall and return in the Winter.

So is this The End?. Sort of. For 17 years we have written a weekly travelogue, if we had something interesting to write about. Now from October to March, we will not have new locales to photograph. Nor will we meet new people everyday.

As we have done in the past we will post photos from our collection of over 100,000 in our archive.

So hang in there, May 2025 will be here before you know it.

Annually, we have always published a yearly summary. This time we summarize all 17 years.
